The Still A Babe (SM) Happy Hour Project

If socializing is the key to staying young but everyone is watching their wallet, then where should we go out to have some fun and spend a couple of bucks before it gets too late and we want to go home and get in bed?

The Happy Hour Project is an attempt to list as many fun Happy Hour places as we can around the country where women and men of a certain age would blend in nicely. Please help this important cause by adding any Happy Hours you know of that are worth checking out.

I like to go to Mortons Steak House in White Plains, New York. They Have two Happy Hours, 5-630 pm and then 9pm to close.

THis is truly exciting becuase you can go after a movie or when your done shopping at the Westchester. Everything is $5!

Also, The Ritz Carlto n in White Plains has $5 appetizers and drink special5-7 daily.

808 in Scarsdale right near the train has half off their entire menu from 4-530 daily.

If you want to have Happy hour but need to take your family, Applebys has half off their regular menu and a very decent wine for $3 a glass!

Try the Palm restaurants, they have $5 appetizers and drinks.between 4pm and 7pm weekdays.

Zolcolo in Grand Central has delicious margaritas for $3.50 daily after 3pm

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

Hotel Valley Ho in Downtown Scottsdale, has two great happy hours - one at the ZuZu Lounge and one at Trader Vic's. People in their 40s, 50s, and 60s stop in for a drink (both hotel guests and locals).

ZuZu has a very "Mad Men" feel to it, and is inside the hotel, just past the lobby. Cool Redux is the name of the happy hour and it's Monday-Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. Everything on the menu is $3 - beer, wines by the glass, cocktails, and appetizers. Trader Vic's is at one end of the hotel grounds and has a tiki theme, and is known for inventing the Mai Tai (the original location was in Oakland, California). All of the RA Sushis in the Phoenix area have an awesome happy hour! Half price sushi, appetizers and drinks (saki, saki bombers, specialty drinks).

There is a menu, it isn't everything but most of their best stuff is on there. I have gone to Happy Hour with a girlfriend, had a drink and dinner for $32! The entire bill was $32. Under $20 for sushi is awesome in my boat! And it goes until 7pm everyday of the week, even Friday!!

Maybe it's the close proximity of the world famous Finger lakes wineries. Maybe it's the ambiance of Corning's Gaffer District and historic Market Street.
