AFTER READING THE BLOG BABES DON'T CALL 911 FOR THEMSELVES JOAN WROTE TO SHARE WHAT HAPPENED TO HER HOPING IT MIGHT HELP SOMEONE HERE SOMEDAY.
THANK YOU JOAN FOR CARING ABOUT THE REST OF US.
I did not make the call. I really didn't think I was having a heart attack. I thought it was muscle cramps in the middle of my chest. I took 3 aspirin and called my husband at work. He told me to hang up and call 911. I did not call. I hung up the phone and got sick to my stomach. My husband called me back and said he was on his way home and he already called 911. I passed out. My husband said that he walked in 2 minutes later and my lips were blue and air bubbles were coming out of my mouth. He gave me a puff of air and then the paramedics came in. They defibrillated me 3 times with no heart beat. They got on their phone to the hospital to get instructions on what to do. As you can see I didn't die by the grace of God, and my husband who gave me air. The doctor said just a few more minutes it would have been too late. I was in a coma for 6 weeks in intensive care. Thank God my husband called 911. My husband and doctor saved my life, no doubt about it. I never had heart problems. My family never had heart problems. So listen to your body, take it from me, I have been there.
I just hope it my story helps women here not to be afraid to call 911. My doctor said I suffered from a sudden death heart attack, something that most don't survive. My cardiologist told me, if I ever have any type of pain to call. It doesn't matter if it isn't a heart attack, it doesn't matter, you wont be judged just call! I hope this helps.
JOAN IS HAPPY TO BE A MEMBER OF STILL A BABE AND IS THRILLED SHE'S STILL HERE TO LAUGH ALONG WITH US ...THE REST OF THE WAY.
