Annual Trip Now Has 'Ageless' Trip Ups

Annual Traditions are great but the annual visit to the Belmar, NJ Seafood Festival  is starting to resemble that joke about the friends who meet every decade at the Ocean View Restaurant.

What 4 Ageless Gal Pals Learned On Our Trip THIS Year. 

We will always stay at Edie's 1bedroom apt. but are no longer qualified to sleep on a blow up bed for more than 1 night.

We cannot go out dancing until 1am, 2 nights in a row, so we should wait until Saturday next year.

Liquor is no longer a sufficient warm up for random dance moves from our 20's.

The men at the place we go dancing at every year now all resemble serial killers.

We can hear a live outdoor concert from the Stone Pony in Asbury, Park, NJ better from the Boardwalk (left) than the cool Watermark Bar that overlooks the outdoor concert venue where it's too loud anyway. (The Counting Crows were awesome!)

We cannot walk 2-5-10 miles in flat shows that are un-cushioned.

We learned a lot about fashion by rating (1-10) other women's outfits.

We cannot separate on the way back to a parking lot because half of us will forget where we left the car and be sitting on someone else's white car waiting while the others search for them.

We do not look the same in our bathing suits but expose ourselves anyway.

We'll always accept an invitation to a gay man's vacation home for cocktails even if we leave feeling completely inept.

We should fill an ice tray with lemon and mint leaves and use 2 in a glass of water 'often' during the day to debloat.

We cannot leave too late to drive 2 hours because we can't see at night.

When we get home 1/2 of our stuff will be in NJ. and we should plan on it.

Quick Review

The Belmar, NJ Seafood Festival was better than ever. If you've never gone you probably should. It's right across the street from the beach and boardwalk. The food is great, there are live bands and decent bathrooms right there on the boardwalk.

Oh yeah...and Muffie Mancini Cinelli ,our 'octogenarian uber babe' is still in the Information Booth on the Boardwalk, was happy to see us, says she still has no information, but will do a split for you on the Boardwalk if you ask.

'Still A Babe' It's An Attitude For Sure!
