THE SHEER NUMBER OF SEASONAL SOCIAL 'EVENTS' THAT REQUIRE EATING AND DRINKING HAVE PICKED UP SPEED. YOU'D THINK THAT WARM SUMMER AIR WOULD INSPIRE A BABE TO BE AT HER LEANEST BUT WITH EVERY 'INVITATION' THE ODDS ARE STACKING UP AGAINST THAT.
Graduations, bridal showers, proms, weddings, barbecues, charity events, birthday parties, cocktail parties - seriously this has officially become a problem. I have to stop drinking and eating before the only thing that fits around me is my comforter.
What the heck? I'm fatter in the summer than in the winter? Ridiculous. Anyone else having this issue? Not that we all aren't fabulous just as we are, however, this is NO time to be hot and heavy.
All winter I work out. I'm at the gym, lifting weights, doing sit-ups getting toned and feeling pretty proud of myself.
Then as soon as the first warm wind blows through and it's time to peel off the layers of clothing I notice I start to slack off. What the heck?
As of this week, things aren't going so good. I never met a cocktail, a cocktail frank or a cupcake I didn't like and the summer has just begun. I'm so annoyed at myself.
I've decided this situation calls for something radical. I think I'll start by unplugging the margarita blender on my nightstand.
Since we now know that socializing it is the key to longevity, obviously I'm not going to stop socializing anytime soon.If anything it's time to speed it up because "Someday HAS Arrived" !
But as of today, I m going to stop being so random with what I put in my mouth while I'm talking a mile a minute at these social gatherings, AND I will TRY to exercise 6 days a week. If I remember correctly you can't lose a pound in anything under 6 days a week once you're a babe of a certain age.
It's no wonder eating ,drinking and socializing is so much more appealing.
