Long Married Couples Re-Spark! 'Hope Springs'

There is nothing worse than being alone in a relationship together. So many couples together through the decades find themselves living like lonely roommates longing for the intimacy like it was 'back when'. Painfully stuck. Don't give up hope you can change things until you see the new movie 'HOPE SPRINGS' starring Meryl Streep 63, and Tommy Lee Jones, 65.

They're calling 'Hope Springs' about a long married couple who've stopped having sex - a Comedy. Hmmm. Kinda painful to watch I imagine though, if you are in the theater eating popcorn seeing your life reflected on the screen.

It's amazing how two people can go through 31 years together as a couple and never really communicate their true feelings to each other. We all know the only difference between a marriage and having a roommate is - sex.

I agree the movie is 'heartfelt', brave, and yes funny in parts. A Hollywood first for sure.

The Washington Post has called it "a minor miracle of a movie".

"Within a Hollywood tradition accustomed to treating sex as something titillating, taboo, gauzily idealized or downright pornographic, finally someone has made a movie that treats it in the riskiest way possible: as the physical expression of intimacy between two flawed but recognizable adults."

Streep said she accepted the challenging role because the subject was "something no one wants to talk about".

If this subject matter reflects your life and you are at the 'brink', go ahead and see the movie.

Hope does Spring if you are willing to risk trying...if you're willing to risk talking about it.
