Never Too Late To Try The Gong Show (especially if it makes you laugh out loud)

Maryann Simmons from New Fairfield, Ct. and her "sister in song" Rita Schaffer have been aspiring singers and wanted to record a CD with  original songs by age 50. They were hoping for TV Fame by then too. Things didn't work out as planned. Now their closest claim to fame is appearing in The Gong Show and they are having a ball! They'll Be Performing in The Gong Show at The Cutting Room in NYC on Nov 1st. You Go Girls!

As the story goes, these two babes happen to hear on their local radio station a shout out for the single slot left for entry into The Gong Show competition.

They made and submitted this hilarious video performing Hall & Oates MANEATER dressed in crazy wild Leopard outfits...RIOT!!! And they won their shot at Gong Show Fame

These 2 babes do also have two CD's on I-Tunes and You Tube,  "Living Inside My Heart" and "Mirror, Mirror".  But it was THIS video that got them into the Gong Show last time around.

Rita Schaffer is a retired teacher and now teaches Spanish. She's been married 45 years has one son .

They are friends for 16 years.
