We babes can't lose a pound but we never give up hope and now here we go again with weddings, graduations and fundraisers which require us to put on a DRESS. ( I shudder)
Of course we wait till the 'week of' and nothing fits, and we still genuinely believe after all this time, that if we diet the same week of the event we will lose weight and fit into the DRESS by the weekend (I shudder again)
The 'Skinny Black Dress Diet'
might be our best shot. I read about it in a book called "The 90 Second Fitness Solution" written by trainer Pete Cerqua,
and I believe him, even though I'm pretty sure Petey boy has never actually had this emergency problem himself.
Pete said, for 24 to 72 hours consume all your calories from protein shakes. It can be as simple as mixing whey powder into a pre-made vegetable drink like V8 or as complicated as making your own juice with a juicer and combining the ingredients in a blender.
Pete says you should tell your loved ones you will be going on a liquid diet in case they want to leave town.
Pete also suggests spending a lot of time in the bathtub, noting it's hard to eat cookies when you're hands are wet. (Yeah right Pete)Word is, when people lose weight by replacing one or more meals with a liquid meal replacement they actually lose more weight and keep it off.
Pete says we can lose half a dress size this week.
Question is...will it be the top half or the bottom half of that freakin DRESS Pete?
